Salmon The Winning Recipe

Salmon has incredible health benefits! I know, I know… “But I don’t like fish!” you’re saying…. This recipe will win over even the non-fish fans in your clan! Try it and send me your feedback.

This is a family favorite! Even non-fish fans lick their plates. Good for all ages, all palates, super healthy, and easy to clean up! It also takes just minute to prepare and is greta for busy weeknights. Serve with a vegetable and rice if you choose! But wait… there’s more… It’s even good cold! I usually make the biggest filet I can find and eat it for 3-4 days. πŸ˜‹

Salmon has incredible anti-inflammatory properties! The fish oils found in wild salmon are better than any supplement available. Local honey has well-documented immune properties. Also, Chinese five- spice is equal parts cinnamon, clove, fennel seed, star anise, and szechuan peppercorns. All of these have phenomenal health benefits, including immune support and combating inflammation.

Five-Spice Healthy Salmon Recipe:

  • 3 teaspoons teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons local honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Β½ teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 6-ounce wild salmon filets

Whisk together the teriyaki sauce, honey, lime, mustard, and garlic. Place salmon in a baking dish, lightly oiled, skin side down. Brush with half of the glaze made. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily. Cover with remaining glaze after cooking and prior to serving.
